Month of the Military Child

Since 1986, April has been designated as the Month of the Military Child. MilKids are special. As you’re probably more than well aware, they deal with a unique set of challenges that come with living a Military lifestyle.

Take a moment to salute the resilience and strength Military Kids exhibit when a parent is deployed, having to make a new group of friends each time your family has had to move to a new location, and any other exemplary trait your MilKid has shown.

If you’re looking for a future summer opportunity that’s just right for your MilKid, check out Operation Purple Summer Camp and their additional summer camp resource list.  The camp was launched 10 years ago by the National Military Family Association as a way to support Military Children by creating an opportunity to join together and embrace being MilKids!

How has your Military Child has shown strength and resilience?
